Kenia + Bret

Wedding

Just two days before Christmas, Kenia and Bret went from being an engaged couple to husband and wife in an intimate ceremony with their closest family at Hotel Covington in Northern Kentucky. The couple were engaged just over a year before they tied the knot.

Kenia is a Peru native who relocated to Cincinnati. She came here to study abroad for a semester and decided to stay to improve her English. Fast forward a few years when Kenia and Bret met at a Halloween party. From there, things just flourished with their relationship and he proposed a little over a year ago just shy of their first anniversary at The Banks in downtown Cincinnati.

Family surrounded the couple as Bret’s cousin married them. Both were asked individually what their favorite memory of their partner was, and each responded with the same answer, the day Bret proposed. Hearing their individual versions of the proposal was nothing short of romantic and sweet.

During their ceremony on Saturday, Kenia and Bret did not exchange vows or rings. The ceremony was part of her Peru heritage. In Peru, a couple has two ceremonies, first being a civil or legal union and then a religious ceremony. Kenia and Bret will head to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic during the first half of 2018 for their religious ceremony on the beach where family and friends will join them! (Um… yes, we’re jealous!)

After a cocktail hour to celebrate the new married couple, everyone sat down to a plated dinner at a banquet style table beautifully decorated by Kenia’s mother. Each place setting was surrounded by white flowers with a sprig of greenery delicately placed on each napkin and tied in custom ribbon with Bret and Kenia’s names. The attention to the various details were created stunning and elegant ceremony for the Kenia and Bret.

Thank you for allowing us to capture your ceremony Kenia and Bret. The love you have for each other was evident through the glances you gave each other, the smiles that radiated across your faces, and the tears of joy shared by all. We are excited to see your relationship blossom as your marriage grows! Not to mention, we will be stocking your Facebook page for the photos from your religious ceremony on the beach in a few months!

Congratulations!

Nicole and Ryan
