As the end of winter is slowly approaching here in Northern Kentucky, what better way to celebrate than at a unique wedding at a fun venue. That is exactly what Beth and Adam did to celebrate Adam’s birthday, they tied the knot at the Newport Aquarium on wonderful spring March day.
Throughout their wedding day, Beth and Adam sneaked in little pieces of themselves in their decor, jewelry, and especially their ceremony. To be honest, this just made their day extra special and uniquely theirs.
Just as every wedding day, things did not go 100% perfectly but we have never seen a more centered bride! While Beth was putting on her dress, the loops for the bustle just weren’t strong enough for the tension needed, and began to come loose. Most brides would have FREAKED out… but Beth keep calm and knew her maid of honor had her back (literally). Being a costume designer and seamstress, Kelly jumped in and went right to work to sew Beth into her dress (with dental floss… who knew?!).
One of our faves from their day was the absolutely adorable reception tables. No only did they have custom table numbers, octopus napkins, and place cards, but they had unique glass blown centerpieces. Adam’s mother is a nationally recognized glass sculptress artist who graciously made her son’s wedding centerpieces.
Ok… now Beth and Adam gave us something no other couple of ours had on their wedding day. A penguin to hang out with for a bit. That’s right… you read it right. They were able to invite a penguin to greet their family and bridal party just before the ceremony.
Wedding days showcase a couples love for one another, but it also is an opportunity for their family and friends to become their biggest supporters. We felt all day how much they were loved and supported by everyone involved in their day. During the most important part of their day, the ceremony, Beth and Adam were completely surrounded by love. They had their best friends and siblings at their sides in the bridal party, their mothers in the front row, Beth’s Godfather walked her down the aisle, and Adam’s Godmother officiating. Everyone who meant the most in this world, were there showing them they supported their future together.
Both of these wonderful souls have lost their fathers and wanted to ensure they honored their memories since neither were able to be in attendance on one of the most monumental days of their lives. To do this, their wedding bands were formed from each of their father’s jewelry and they will be able to have a direct line to their hears for till the end of time.
Beth and Adam, thank you for allowing us to be the ones to capture your wonderfully unique wedding day. There were so many elements to highlighted your own style, uniqueness, and love for each other. Not to mention, we absolutely adored watching you two love birds interact with one another all day. While the day did not go 100% as planned (dental floss corset is all we’re going to say), it was absolutely beautiful and, honestly, perfect for you two. We wish you two nothing but joy and happiness as you navigate the next phase of your lives together as newlyweds!
