On an abnormally warm December day in Shandon Ohio, a small town a short drive from Cincinnati Ohio, a long awaited dream was coming true for one beautiful bride. Jessica and Tim gathered with their closest family and friends to become husband and wife at The Shandon Congregational Church.
Jessica has always dreamed of meeting the one who made her soul complete. The one who would change her title from singled to dating to engaged to married. After a little longer than wanted wait in life, she has finally met the one her soul desired, Tim. After always being a bridesmaid, Jessica’s wedding day finally arrived.
This past February, on leap day, Tim took one knee with a diamond ring in his hand and asked Jessica to marry him. Not wanting to waste anytime to becoming husband and wife, they decided December would be a perfect month to get married as Jessica always dreamt of a winter wedding.
Although, planning a wedding during a global pandemic has had it’s many challenges, this did not alter their desire to get married. The actual wedding day may not have been as they originally planned, with a full reception filled with guest dancing, laughing, and socializing (thanks COVID), but their day couldn’t have been any more magical.
After the help of her mother, sisters, and nieces to get dressed (and the great shoe swap), Jessica started to make her way to see her soon to be husband. Before she saw Tim, one other very important man deserved a First Look; a man who she feared would not have been a part of her day, her dad. Her dad was beyond blown away by her beauty. So much so, they shared tears together.
Tim also had an important man to stand by his side on his wedding day, his son Will. Will of course made sure his dad was ready to see his soon to be wife.
Just before the First Look, Jessica had a small gift and letter delivered to Tim by their flower girl. She just wanted to get his emotions flowing right before the big reveal!
Both full of a mixture of excitement and anxiety, they met for their First Look. Tim was in complete awe of Jessica. For a moment, he was speechless but quickly recovered to adore her with compliments and kisses!
As a wedding gift to her, Tim finished Jessica’s bridal look by placing a pearl bracelet on her wrist. This was not his only gift for her, as a surprise he arranged with the florist, Tim presented her with 2 dozen of red roses! As we were explained, he always wants to buy her flowers but due to being highly allergic, she declines them. So, on this very special day (where she’ll already be around a bunch of flowers), he felt this would be the perfect time to gift her this special treat.
As a wedding day gift to help ease the constant changes from the COVID pandemic, Jessica’s mother arranged for a horse drawn carriage to be a part of their wedding day!
To complete her winter bridal look, Jessica added a floor length cloak.
Jessica honored her grandmother by including her broach in her bouquet.
Jessica and Tim choose to become husband and wife at the same small town church as Tim’s parents did many years ago. During their traditional christian wedding ceremony, Jessica and Tim could not peel their eyes off of one another. Between sharing their vows of being each other’s best friend and forever partner, they would exchange ear to ear smiles.
To complete their non-tradition/traditional wedding day, these took a horse drawn carriage ride a few blocks away to the Shandon Congregational Community House where Jessica’s winter wedding wonderland reception came true! The couple walked into a candle lit ceremony space with their head table nestled in a winter wonderland.
During their reception, the couple was able to share a few traditions! With the words of Taylor Swift’s Lover filling the community house, Jessica and Tim shared their First Dance as husband and wife.
Another emotional moment between Jessica and her dad was their dance together. Not sure with his health concerns if he would be able to dance with her, Jessica’s dad not only took the dance floor with his daughter but he also ensure she had a few amazing twirls along the way.
When your cousin is a wedding guest/make-up artist for the day, you have to get a photo together!
Jessica and Tim, thank you for trusting us to capture your wonderful winter wedding. The day was purely magical with all the love you have for each other and the love your relationship is surrounded by. For the entire day, we witnessed how excited everyone in your lives were for your marriage and wish you two nothing but the best! Congratulations and we cannot wait to watch your lives get even better now that you’re married to your soul mate.
Welcome to the married kids club,
Nicole & Ryan
