Sunset Time

Planning Tips

Taco Tuesday? Not quite! Tuesday Tip? Exactly! We wanted to share a quick tip when thinking about your Wedding Day. KNOW WHAT TIME THE SUN WILL SET ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. Take a moment and check out what time the sun will be setting. This is amazing information to have for a couple of reasons!

First it will help decide when events should happen in your Wedding Day timeline. You will want to know how much daylight you have during the day so that you can properly plan our major events such as your Ceremony start time (especially if it’s an outdoor wedding… you  want to make sure you have DAYLIGHT time for the I DOs), Portraits times and how early your day should start. In addition, if you’re having a winter wedding, this can plan a vital role in how soon your day will need to start. Remember, in the winter you lose anywhere from 3 to 5 hours of daylight and that can impact the day in a major way. We want to make sure you have plenty of time to get all your photos in without the sun disappearing on you too soon!

Next, you can have an opportunity to get some beautiful photos done at dusk! We LOVE LOVE doing a quick 5 minutes Sunset Portrait session with our couples (especially during the summer when the sun sets later.) The beautiful blue sky or maybe we’re lucky and have a colorful sky… either way… dusk portraits just scream romantic!

You will never regret knowing the sunset time of your day! It will make planning your wedding day so much easier!

Happy Planning,

Nicole & Ryan
