There are just some couples you know are perfect for you, for us it was Sarah and Sean. This Chicago couple decided to wed in Sarah’s hometown of Bellbrook, Ohio. When we received interest from Sarah, we send over our questionnaire. The response we received back, we just knew we could serve them perfectly on their wedding day. What sealed the deal for us… she included a family photo which included her, Sean, and their fur kids Tater, a puppy and Sammi, a big kitty, both dressed up for the holidays.Their love story was one to remember. Sarah and Sean met while working together at a real estate brokerage company in Chicago. They soon realized their sense of humor aligned and began to hangout with each. Three years later, Sarah was in Ohio for a visit and celebrating her brother’s birthday. She was starting a glass of wine while in the kitchen. Behind her, she heard a familiar voice saying “Hey Honey.” When she turned around, Sean was behind her on one knee. Sarah was in complete shock as he flew into Ohio for just a couple of days before flying back to Chicago and then to New York for a wedding.
Just under a year from the proposal, Sarah and Sean’s became husband and wife on a gorgeous early fall day. To start out their day, both were surrounded by their closest friends. The love and support was evident on their day.
Sadly, one key member of Sarah’s family was not present on her wedding day. Her older brother passed away less than a year prior to her date. To show their support and remembrance, Sarah’s bridesmaids and friends presented her with a necklace with his initial. Even though he was not there on her day, his memory was with her as she walked down the aisle as the necklace was wrapped around her bouquet.
Their ceremony was just a few minutes down the road from Sarah’s childhood home. A family friend opened up his land and barn for the couple to tie the know. They said their vows on the dock of a small lake.
And…. Our Fave!!!! A First Look… They did not disappoint!
After the hustle and bustle of the early part of the day and to enjoy the first few moments of married life, Sarah and Sean took a golf cart ride down the road. Once back, a few of the groomsmen decided they needed to go for a cruise as well!
One of Sarah’s closest friends was not able to make the ceremony… she was under doctors orders to stay in her hometown. She was due to deliver her baby any day. However, she surprised the couple by recording her toast to be played at the reception. This toast was followed by her maid of honor and best man who were both present.
Yes… Sarah had a reception dress! She wanted needed to be able to dance and party with her family and friends! We love this trend.
Just as the party was getting started, the couple were surprised with a small fireworks display!Sarah and Sean, thanks so much for being as adorable and easy going as you appeared! Your personalities were as much fun as we had expected from your initial emails. We hope your marriage is as much fun and joyful as you’re the start of your marriage!
