Nestled in Mount Adams, one of the seven hills which make up Cincinnati, sits a historical building. This once church is now the home of many new beginnings, but it still serves as a place of love and celebration. The Monastery Event Center is a beloved wedding venue in the tri-state as it is bustled in a busy community but holds its historical charms for a new generation.
Amanda and Josh met online during COVID. On their first vacation together in Charleston, South Carolina they went to John Riley Park, where the famous Pineapple Fountain is located. Infront of the water fountain, Josh asked Amanda to spend the rest of their lives together. Spoiler alert…. she said yes.
After living through COVID life, Amanda and Josh decided to have a destination elopement in Venice Italy this past fall (sadly, we didn’t have a chance to capture this part of their story for them). To celebrate their new union, they spent the first month as a married couple on a cruise visiting amazing places, such as Greece.
With only a few loved ones at their elopement, Amanda and Josh wanted to celebrate their marriage with all their family and friends. Therefore, these Michiganders held a vow renewal locally in Cincinnati. Since Italy has a beautiful rich and ancient history, Amanda and Josh purposely chose The Monastery due to the historic feel it gave off.
They stood on stage, with Josh’s cousin, to recommit themselves to each other in front of all those who support their love story. Although the renewal was short and to the point, the time was filled with a wide array of emotions. There was laughter. There were looks of pure love. Moments when a close family member was trying to hold back tears of joy. Just because these two became husband and wife several months ago, the day was still one filled with happiness.
Amanda and Josh, thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful vow renewal at this wonderful historical building in Cincinnati. We enjoyed getting to witness you two celebrating your marriage with all those who love and support your future together. Cheers to many amazing years together and we can’t wait to see how the next phase of your love story unfolds!
