Bobby is a medically retired veteran from the US Army after serving his country for 8 years. As a veteran and engaged, Bobby and his fiancé, Krissy, are a apart of the WoodBottom Quail Farms Military Month. As a way to give back to our veterans, we volunteered our services to capture their engagement photos.
Way back pre-corona virus, we had planned for a Spring engagement session at the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park. A spot Krissy and Bobby had a wonderful date together. Then, Cincinnati shut down and everything was put on a hold.
With Cincinnati lifting some restriction, we rescheduled their session for this past Saturday. However, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park is only open to current annual pass holders. So, the couple decided to move their session to Ault Park! A familiar favorite for us!
Krissy and Bobby have known each other for a while. They initially met through Krissy’s sister, as she was friends and fellow military comrade with Bobby. Years later, these two reconnected through Facebook and after chatting a bit with one another, they decided to hang out. One thing led to another, and now they’re planning a fall wedding.
After hiding the engagement ring in Krissy’s shoe, Bobby decided he could no longer wait. His original intentions were to propose on their trip to California, but on a very hard day for Krissy, Bobby decided to propose early. One evening, after dinner, he asked her to come to the bedroom where he asked for her hand in marriage to help turn a normally sad day into a happier one. And now, Krissy is planning her fall wedding to the father of her son and love of her life!
During their session, we had the opportunity to meet their son and capture a few photos of this adorable family! He was more than happy to make it quick since he would rather play Pokémon Go in a new park than take photos!
Krissy and Bobby, thanks so much for allowing us to capture your engagement photos! We hope your wedding goes off beautifully and it is everything you want. Getting to spend our evening with you two and your son was great and we’re very thankful the rain held off! We couldn’t have asked for a better summer evening.
Have a great day,
Nicole & Ryan
