As much as we love a wedding day, engagement sessions are some of our favorite hours we just get to spend with our couples throughout their entire wedding experience with us!  The engagement session is WAY less stressful than a wedding day for our couples…. even if they’re a little more stressful for us (hello… this is the first time you’re actually working with us and we need to bring it).

While we’re going through the images, the locations our couples choose were perfect for them and all were different!  Not to mention we went to some new locations around Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio this year.   As much as we love our old faves spots like Ault Park, we enjoyed exploring the small city Loveland Ohio and the Eastwood MetroPark in Dayton. 

Every session was a unique experience.  All of our couples brought their pizzazz and personality to our camera! 

To kick off our engagement season in 2019, we headed to Ault Park with Amy and Ryan.  Their session was not far out from their wedding date and on this particular day it was sprinkling.  However, Amy and Ryan were game for anything!  One of our favorite moments was the excitement Amy had for all the greenery and grass!  Being from Thailand, this was not a norm for her as she grew up!

Our Lexington couple, Amanda & Randal, wanted to head back to the spot where they got engaged, Loveland Ohio.  Since Ryan was unable to attend, Nicole headed on this shoot solo.   Bonus for this engagement shoot…. Lola.  Who is Lola you may ask?  It’s their sweet baby puppy girl!  During their session, we headed to THE SPOT where the magic happened!   How freakin’ romantic was that! 

There are just some couples that are beyond adorable together… for us it was Maddy and Alex.  These two met in the military and are both extremely intelligent (Maddy is current going for her PhD and Alex is a chemist).  During their session, it was a windy making it a bit chilly.  However, never once did they question our craziness.  All through out their session, these two were extremely cuddly and lovable with each other.  We were able to capture so many in between moments with them. 

The last engagement session of the year was different than all other sessions!  We did an in home lifestyle shoot with Hannah and Kyle in their quaint apartment nestled in Norwood.  When figuring out the best place for their engagement photos, Hannah explained they wanted to do them in their home.  Uh… yes!!!!!  One of our favorite memories was when we went into the bedroom for some more intimate photos and Nicole told them to have a pillow fight like “sorority girls”  Yep… and even Kyle knew exactly what she meant.  Another bonus for us… Ryan and their puppy, Leo, became friends…. Even though Ryan had a beard at the time.

We hope you enjoyed reliving our favorite photos and memories from each of our amazing engaged couples from 2019!  Hannah/Kyle and Maddy/Ryan are 2020 wedding couples and we cannot wait till their big day….
