A stunning navy-blue ball gown. Well-tailored suit. Beautiful locations. Contagious smiles. All the perfect elements for an amazing engagement session in downtown Cincinnati.  Hannah and Kevin rocked their spring time engagement photos back in April.

After dating for a few years and allowing Hannah to finish her law degree, Kevin was ready to take their relationship to the next level… at his own birthday party in January. Hannah was anticipating a proposal soon but was expecting it to be closer to the lover’s holiday, Valentines Day, since Christmas had come and gone without a ring.

A couple weeks before the big party, Nicole met up with Kevin and Chelsea (Hannah’s BFF) at his parents’ place. She helped them coordinate the best spot (for photo purposes) to ask her to marry him! As they set things up, Nicole gave Chelsea some quick tips on how to capture this special moment for Hannah (since we wouldn’t be in attendance due to attending a friend’s wedding).

Everything went as planned. Kevin asked for her hand in marriage in front of a fireplace surrounded by their family and dearest friends. Hannah was beyond surprised and brought to tears of joy! As we were celebrating the love of another couple, we received a couple photos from Chelsea of the big event!

Just a couple short months later, we met up with Hannah and Kevin to talk wedding! After seeing the wedding photos, we did for their friends Kelly and Johnny, she was excited to talk to us about capturing their big day! At the end of our coffee/doughnut date, we had a special surprise for this adorable couple. A couple of days before their meeting, a mutual friend of ours reached out to us and wanted to gift them their engagement session. Their group of friends are amazing and so far, we adore everyone in their circle we have met!

When talking about their session with Hannah, we explained it’s great to find a location with meaning to the couple! She explained they wanted to head downtown to the Hilton Netherland Plaza where Kevin use to work for years. Heck Yeah! The hotel is stunning with the architecture and beautiful ceiling murals…

As we ventured around the hotel, we suggest the couple share a drink at the bar. One of the greatest things about being in a public setting, such as the bar, is all the congratulations and compliments our couple received. There is nothing more of a confidence booster than getting confirmation of how amazing you look!

Ryan got bonus points by finding an empty ballroom (with an unlocked door)! Yes… there was some dancing involved!

After spending our time exploring the Hilton, we headed across the river to Covington. Hannah had one simple request… a shot with Cincinnati in the background and what better place to achieve this request than Drees Pavilion in Devou Park!

Soccer brought this sweet couple together, so it only seemed fitting to play a little during their session.

With the session wrapping up, Nicole spotted the beautiful sky in the background and just had to have “1 more photo.”

Hannah and Kevin, thank you so much for trusting us with your engagement session! You are two of the sweetest and easy-going people we have met. The way you smile and look at each other just screams love. We are excited to see (and hopefully capture) the love you have for one another on your wedding day. Hannah, you’re going to make a stunning bride but just avoid marathons a few weeks before the big day (just kidding). Kevin, your compliment on how much fun you had taking your engagement photos meant the world to us!
