Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park is an awesome place for an engagement session. Which was why we were so excited to capture Kenny and Jonathan’s love for each other at this place! And, after a week of cold and wintry weather a single spring day peeked out. And that was the day we got to take photos!
Kenny and Jonathan met while at college. They were both Molecular Bio majors, and eventually wound up as lab partners. Jonathan kept asking her to meet up to work on assignments, but it was mostly an excuse to get to talk to her more! He had quite the crush but Kenny had no idea! All that talking paid off though, because, they discovered that they had a lot in common!
Kenny’s ring is absolutely gorgeous and quite unique! She doesn’t usually wear jewelry, so she went with Jonathan to pick out the ring! But, the condition was that if she got to pick out the ring, he got to pick the proposal date – as long as she didn’t find the ring first!
Then, the Friday before Labor Day she came home exhausted and laid down for a nap. When she woke, and he came to check on her, she reached for him. Instead of holding Kenny’s hand, Jonathan placed the ring box in her hand. She thought he was messing with her, because that’s the kind of joke Jonathan would make. But, the ring was there! And, spoiler alert . . . she said “Yes!”
During their engagement session we drove around Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park in golf carts! This was Kenny’s first time, as well as Nicole’s! So it was a lot of fun moving about from place to place.
Kenny was absolutely in love with her flowy skirt, and we were able to get some beautiful pictures capturing it flowing in the air!
Kenny and Jonathan both chose the park for its mixture of sculptures and artwork. And they absolutely loved the fields, forests and ponds. The air and lighting were perfect, and there was such a beautiful mix of colors and backdrops!
They were a bit shy and reserved at first, but eventually they relaxed. Then they were down for any crazy prompt we gave them! Before we knew it, they were comfortable just being themselves in front of the camera. They were so cuddly and goofy. We absolutely loved working with them!
Kenny and Jonathan, thanks so much for allowing us to capture you adorableness on film! The day couldn’t have been more perfect, between the weather, your outfits, and just overall love for one another! After getting to hang out with you two, we are EVEN more excited for your wedding day next year. Enjoy this time as planning will fly by!
Have a great day!
