Summer is in full swing, bringing the heat to Smale Park—and it wasn’t just the temperature sizzling! Madison and Jason brought their love and affection to their downtown Cincinnati engagement session, making for a truly memorable experience.

Their love story began at work, where Jason, the new guy, met Madison. At a work conference, Madison invited the shy Jason to join her group for lunch. Though hesitant at first, Jason took a chance, a decision that would change his life.

First Date Magic

A few weeks later, after connecting more, Jason asked Madison out on their first date to the Newport Aquarium. Unsurprisingly, the date went swimmingly well, and they soon began dating and eventually moved in together.

Their future conversations often circled back to marriage, dreaming of tying the knot on their anniversary (July 27th). Knowing this, Jason started planning his proposal. A former Disney Princess, Madison’s favorite movie is Tangled, and she always dreamed of attending a lantern festival. When a lantern festival aligned with their engagement plans, Jason secretly bought tickets to surprise her.

A Disney Moment Engagement

At the festival, they enjoyed a magical date night, releasing lanterns into the water. Madison initially thought Jason would propose during the lantern release to start their engagement era, but when he didn’t, she wasn’t disappointed—she was simply happy to be in the moment. Overwhelmed with joy, Madison expressed, “I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for this day. I don’t know why, but this is the first time I’ve truly understood how she felt in the movie. It feels like destiny.” At that moment, Jason knelt down and asked for her hand in marriage. Spoiler alert: she said yes!

Though surrounded by a crowd, for the first five seconds, it felt like they were alone in their perfect Disney moment. Once people noticed, congratulations poured in, celebrating their beautiful moment.

The Downtown Cincinnati Engagement Session

After three attempts due to weather, sickness, and life, we finally met up with Madison and Jason for their downtown Cincinnati engagement session. Just weeks before their wedding, they wanted to spend some time in front of the camera to ensure they were ready for the big day. The session was a joy and made us even more excited for their wedding.

Madison and Jason’s downtown Cincinnati engagement session was a blast, even on a busy, hot summer day at the park. They loved on one another, helping each other come out of their shells. During the session, we saw them let their guards down and embrace being the center of attention—that’s when the magic happened.

A Special Guest

Before heading back to their downtown apartment overlooking Smale Park, Madison asked to bring down their “puppy,” Sam, a beautiful German Shepherd. Sam enjoyed the walk, extra pets, and treats for being a good boy during mom and dad’s engagement photos. The only downside? He needed to be super close to mom. Sam was definitely a mama’s boy.

Madison and Jason, your photos turned out amazing, and your wedding day will be even more awesome. The love you two have for each other (and Sam) was evident during our time together.
