Flowers aren’t the only thing blooming this spring! Love is in full bloom for Stacy and Joseph and their spring engagement session was just about as perfect as the weather we got to enjoy while taking the photos! Devou Park was the perfect place to capture the next step of this lovely couple’s love journey!
These two won this engagement session from a bridal show at the Florentine Event Center and I couldn’t be happier that they did!

Stacy and Joseph celebrated their four-year anniversary this past January and have many more anniversaries ahead! They met at Red Lobster in Stacy’s final year of college. After some hints from her friends she was sure that he was going to ask her out!
It happened while they were both working the same night shift. Joseph could barely get the words out and started word-vomiting! Then Stacy asked if he was trying to ask her out. He nodded and said, very eloquently: “Mhmm” and she told him that she’d love to!
Their proposal story is even sweeter! Stacy and her friends (and Joseph along for the ride) went out to a pier on Okaloosa Island in Florida. Stacy and her family had there visited often over the years she loved the place!
Everyone was getting photos on the pier and that’s when Stacy’s friends suggested that Joseph do a specific “pose” that they had planned. That’s when he got down on one knee! Joseph word-vomited a little and (just like the first time!) Stacy asked if he was trying to propose. Joseph nodded and said, oh so eloquently: “Mhmm”.

Spoiler alert… Stacy said Yes!!!
Devou Park was a gorgeous backdrop for a spring engagement session. It was a super special place to capture these two lovebirds! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect spring day. The couple couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other while I was taking pictures, it was so cute!
Stacy and Joseph were super easy to work with and they were up for any kind of photo or pose I suggested. All in all these two were great to work with, they are very caring and genuine people and love each other SO MUCH!

Stacy and Joseph, I am so glad you won an engagement session with me! You two were so natural in front of the camera, you made my job very easy. Thank you for being genuine people and caring about my love story as much as I care about yours! You don’t know how much it means when a couple is as invested as we are. I’m sorry Ryan couldn’t make the session, I’m sure he and Joseph would have had a wonderful time chatting about the Legend of Zelda (probably for hours). I hope you enjoyed dinner and margaritas after. I can’t wait to see how wedding planning goes!
Have a wonderful day,
Nicole
